Signage and Installation Specifications

  • The exhibit sponsor is responsible for arranging installation and removal of exhibit.
  • An exhibitor needing installation help (and this is recommended) should engage the services of a University-approved vendor.  This ensures that all insurance requirements have been met.
  • You will need to have a sign (vinyl stencil-lettering, preferred, poster foam-core or gator-backed) created  with:
    • Exhibit Title (300 + point size)
    • Artist (if applicable), Time Frame (200 + point size), and
    • Sponsors including CGIS affiliation.
    • Note:  No vinyl or stenciled lettering should be adhered to FFC’s black egg-shaped café wall or the South Concourse’s green curved wall.
  • Exhibits must not create a physical hazard or impede normal use of the space.
  • All signage and exhibits must be plumb, and securely fastened to walls.
  • Exhibitors will be held responsible for all costs related to restoring walls to their verified original condition.  Repairing any exhibit-caused damage (including pencil marks that are not removed by the exhibitor) will be charged to the 33-digit billing code of the sponsoring University department.
  • The use of two-sided tape, glue, or duct tape on any surface is prohibited, as these cause considerable damage and cost significantly more time/money to remove.  We strongly recommend using 3M Velcro tabs or similar removable mounting method, taking care to adhere and remove properly.
